Tyson Gern is a director and software architect in Boulder, Colorado

I am a director at Pivotal's Platform Acceleration Lab, where I teach enterprise architects how to modernize existing codebases. I create interactive educational experiences with highly successful outcomes.

As a director, I build and advise engineering teams, secure large enterprise clients, and lead three-week-long intensive workshops around the U.S. and internationally. In my technical work, I build high quality software using XP methods and I model this in my mobile classroom.

I have a PhD in Mathematics—in the field of algebraic combinatorics—from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Read my PhD thesis for more information about my mathematical interests.

You can find my thoughts on software on GitHub, Medium, and Twitter. To learn more about me, check out my LinkedIn or say hello.
